About Amanda
I am a creative and passionate individual committed to promoting wellbeing. I have faced numerous challenges, feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life—family, education, friendships, and work. I tried managing it all, but at what expense? I participated in numerous talk therapy sessions without finding resolution. When I engaged in personal music therapy I started to release my emotions, explore my feelings, and experience personal growth. This journey has profoundly shaped my professional practice.
I offer unwavering acceptance, patience, and a willingness to embrace limitless musical creativity as we collaborate to shape your journey ahead.
As an experienced professional, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My role encompasses that of a therapist, educator, and researcher. Since 2003, I have been a Board Certified Music Therapist, dedicated to utilizing the power of music to enhance the well-being of those I serve.
In 2011, I completed my Masters Degree in Music Therapy, further expanding my expertise in this specialized field. Building upon this foundation, I underwent training in Analytical Music Therapy, which has enriched my understanding of the intricate relationship between music and the human psyche.
Most recently, in 2019, I proudly earned my Doctorate in Music Therapy. This comprehensive educational journey has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care and support to the individuals and communities I serve.
Throughout my learning and growth journey, I undergo supervision and engage in ongoing training opportunities. I am a certified MARI professional and certified in trauma treatment.
